Put your strategy and shooting skills to the test with Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO). This game was developed by Valve Corporation and Hidden Path Entertainment and is the fourth installment to the world famous Counter-Strike series. This objective-based, multiplayer first-person shooter video game is now equipped with new maps, characters, and weapons.

It also has the updated versions of the classic Counter-Strike maps like Dust, Inferno, Nuke, Train, and more. Global Offensive is a team-based game where two opposing teams, known as Terrorists and Counter-Terrorists, engage into a full-on shooting battle to complete objectives like rescuing or keeping the hostages and planting or defusing the bomb. Players are rewarded individually with in-game currency at the end of each round depending on their performance.

The winning team gets higher rewards and completing objectives give bonuses. The game can be played in eight main game modes: Competitive, Casual, Deathmatch, Arms Race, Demolition, Wingman, Flying Scoutsman, and Weapons Course. All of these provide different game experiences made to test a player’s skill. Players can use their in-game currency to purchase more powerful weapons in subsequent rounds. Purchasable weapons are divided into five categories, four being guns and one for utilities. This includes rifles, sub-machine guns (SMGs), heavy pistols, and grenades.

CS:GO can be played online or offline and is available on Windows, Mac, Linux, Xbox, and PlayStation. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive follows the same old formula of gameplay seen in previous versions of Counter-Strike. However, the combination of the original concept and the added upgrades just made this classic shooting game even better.
