Engage your weapons, gather your allies and become the galaxy’s greatest war in StarCraft II, a free-to-play, real-time strategy game developed and released by Blizzard Entertainment. StarCraft II serves as a sequel to the first StarCraft game released in 1998 as well as its expansion Brood War. Blizzard intended this game to be a game that new players can pick up and start commanding armies in a short amount of time. Set four years after the Brood War, StarCraft II brings back the three races from the original game: Protoss, Terran, and Zerg.

The game features new and old elements, characters and locations from the original game. This strategy game allows players to interact with in real time. Players can see the action unfold from a top-down perspective as well as control their units to gain control of the entire map and defeat their opponents. It features a single-player campaign that focuses mainly on one race: the Terrans. Each available race (Protoss, Terran, and Zerg) in the game can be played on multiplayer, and each race has unique abilities that give them several advantages in the playing field.

It also has a versus mode and Co-op missions which you can play with friends. StarCraft II also comes with a world editor that is more advanced than the previous StarCraft as well as Warcraft III’s world editor. This editor allows players to create custom maps and campaigns and it is also the first world editor that Blizzard gave usage support.

You can also create custom and arcade games through this editor which can be played by other players. Featuring a fast-paced, hard-hitting, tightly balanced competitive real-time strategy gameplay that recaptures and improves on the magic of the original game, StarCraft II will surely deliver an excellent gaming experience you haven’t seen before. StarCraft II is available to play for free on Windows and Mac OS.
